In response to pregnancy rumors circulating about Lady Gaga, colleague Taylor Swift is livid.
On this topic, Taylor Swift (34) apparently felt compelled to speak out digitally: “Can we all agree that commenting on a woman’s body is intrusive and irresponsible? Gaga owes no one an explanation, and neither does any other woman,” the singer wrote, according to “Variety,” in a comment on the TikTok video with which her colleague Lady Gaga (38) denied her alleged pregnancy on Wednesday (June 5). The musician had recently fought back against pregnancy rumors after being photographed with a slight bump.
Photos of Lady Gaga fuel pregnancy rumors
In recent photos from her sister Natali Germanotta’s (32) wedding last weekend, the singer is seen alongside her partner Michael Polansky (46) in a tight black dress, under which there appears to be a rounding in the midsection. The British newspaper “The Sun” published the photos and the rumor that she was pregnant. On TikTok, Lady Gaga denied any possible pregnancy with a quote from Taylor Swift’s song “Down Bad”: “Not pregnant – just devastated, crying at the gym.”
But (not) a pregnancy
Speaking to “InStyle” magazine in May 2020, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, Gaga’s real name, emphasized that she looks forward to being a mother. “Isn’t it incredible what we can do? We can carry a human inside us and let it grow. Then it comes out, and it’s our job to keep it alive.” Shortly afterward, her relationship with tech CEO Michael Polansky (46) became public. In April 2024, speculations about an engagement surfaced after the 38-year-old was spotted with a suspicious ring.
Swift’s solidarity is no coincidence
The fact that pop star Swift suddenly comments on such private matters has a good reason. She herself has been subjected to pregnancy speculations more frequently in recent weeks, as during her recent concerts of her “The Eras” tour, she appeared more rounded in the abdominal region in a tight bodysuit. The country-pop singer has been officially dating football pro Travis Kelce (34) since September 2023.
