Following a divorce, it’s common for people to make changes. Maybe they get some new clothes, buy a new car, try out a new hairstyle, start a new job, or find a new group of friends to hang out with.
It’s normal to want to switch things up after experiencing something as life-changing and often traumatic as separating from someone you thought you’d be with forever.
Celebrities go through post-divorce makeovers too. If Radar Online is to be believed, Kevin Costner is currently in the middle of one.
The short version of Costner’s love life in 2023—which has been covered extensively—is that the “Dances With Wolves” star and Christine Baumgartner split up last year after 19 years of marriage.
According to all reports, Costner was surprised by Christine’s decision to end things. She was the one who initiated the divorce process. After a court battle, Costner was ordered to pay $63,209 in child support each month.
That might seem like a lot, but it’s much less than the $161,592 Christine was initially asking for.
A few months later, rumors started swirling about the 69-year-old Costner being connected to various women. This was to be expected; once his divorce was finalized, he became one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors.
Recently, there’s been a lot of speculation that he’s dating singer Jewel. The two reportedly took a vacation together. In an April interview, Jewel mentioned Kevin, slyly describing him as “a great person.”
About the rumors connecting them, she said, “The public fascination is intense for sure.”
We won’t likely know if Costner has found new love until there’s an official announcement. But according to Radar Online, the “Yellowstone” star has undergone some changes since splitting from Christine.
“He fusses over his hair nonstop and is now getting weaves,” a source reportedly told The Globe. “He is dabbling in other beauty treatments like Botox and spray tans to look younger.”
The insider added, “He used to be a wash-and-go guy, but now he spends hours getting ready and gets really obsessed with his hair. His friends tease him about looking like a scarecrow with the bleached fuzz on top of his head, but he doesn’t mind because he thinks it looks great.”
Indeed, when Costner was photographed at the Cannes Film Festival this month to introduce the first movie in his new four-part Western series, “Horizon: An American Saga,” he showed off bleached blond hair and a noticeably longer hairline.
