Beyoncé’s youngest daughter Rumi usually stays out of the spotlight, unlike her sister Blue Ivy. That made it all the more surprising when she suddenly appeared on stage alongside her mother during the opening night of the “Cowboy Carter” tour.
Beyoncé Knowles, 43, kicked off her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin Circuit tour in California with a spectacular show. But the excitement wasn’t just about the superstar herself—her two daughters stole the spotlight.
Both 13-year-old Blue Ivy, who already has stage experience from past performances with her mother, and 7-year-old Rumi contributed to the concert’s success with their on-stage presence.

Beyoncé’s Oldest Daughter Blue Ivy Shows Off Her Dancing Talent
For the first five songs, Beyoncé performed solo. Then, during “America Has a Problem,” Blue Ivy’s dance performance took center stage. The audience responded to the 13-year-old’s choreography with enthusiastic cheers. Beyoncé’s sister Solange Knowles, 38, also captured the moment: she posted a short video clip of Blue Ivy in her Instagram story, clearly proud of her niece.
This marked the third time Blue Ivy has danced on stage at one of her famous mother’s concerts. She had previously joined Beyoncé on stage in 2023 and 2024.
Stage Debut for Little Rumi
Six songs later, another surprise awaited fans at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles: during the song “Protector,” Beyoncé brought her youngest daughter Rumi on stage. The 7-year-old, dressed in a golden dress and golden cowboy boots, looked visibly excited, waving enthusiastically to the crowd, as fan-shot videos showed.
The mother-daughter trio stood together to finish the song, after which, according to USA Today, a montage of Beyoncé with her children played on the big screen.

Son Sir Avoids the Spotlight
While Blue Ivy and Rumi have been seen alongside Beyoncé or their father Jay-Z, 55, several times, Rumi’s twin brother Sir, 7, has stayed out of the public eye. Apparently, he has no interest in his parents’ spectacular performances. According to media reports, Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles, 71, hinted a few years ago that Sir is quite laid-back and “chills like his dad,” while Rumi has a more extroverted personality.
That sense of calm was far from reality at the time of the twins’ birth. As Beyoncé revealed in her 2019 Netflix documentary Homecoming, their delivery was highly complicated: “I had high blood pressure. I developed toxemia, preeclampsia, and one of my babies’ heartbeats paused a few times in the womb, so I had to undergo an emergency C-section.” During the birth, Rumi was delivered one minute before her brother Sir.
