I’ve always loved theater, and I think it takes a lot of confidence to walk up on stage and sing or act. Adults usually spend years practicing and training to be able to act, sing, and dance on stage with ease.
But today, you’re going to meet a remarkable child performer—a 3-year-old boy who is the youngest I’ve ever seen sing the National Anthem. And he is winning hearts everywhere with his talent!
Drake Winslow, at just three years old, is the youngest person ever to sing the National Anthem at a Syracuse, New York, School Day game. His amazing performance in front of 6,000 people left everyone in awe.
As Drake confidently sang the anthem, the crowd gave him a standing ovation for his outstanding performance. His mother, Chelsea, stood behind him during the entire performance. She said, “I just think he’s too little to realize how big of a deal it is.”
Chelsea added, “We simply try not to bring it up too often and to be composed for him.
He isn’t asked if he feels anxious. Perhaps he won’t consider that after that. He doesn’t truly understand what nervousness is yet.”
Drake’s mom shared that her adorable son loves singing at home, and the Star-Spangled Banner has always been his favorite song. According to Tip Hero, Drake is eager to sing it again.
Watch the video below to see Drake’s excellent performance. What a charming little guy he is! Since it brings so much joy to so many, I hope he keeps doing what he loves.
