McDonald’s is facing criticism from a TikTok user who was shocked by how much prices have increased, making it no longer affordable.
The man was surprised to find that his usual order cost him over $16. This order included a large fry, a Smoky Double Quarter Pounder BLT burger, and a Sprite.
Due to the recent surge in inflation, living expenses have increased dramatically in the USA and many other parts of the world. Unfortunately, this means that what used to be cheap fast food is now much more expensive, and Americans can’t rely on McDonald’s for a cheap meal anymore.
Christopher Olive, the TikTok user who posted the viral video, claims that just a few years ago, this meal, which now costs him over $16, used to be $10 or less.
In the video, he says, “I know salaries are growing, there’s a labor shortage, and a lot of other things, but sixteen dollars? A burger, a huge order of fries, and a drink cost sixteen dollars. It’s simply absurd.”
