A 24-year-old with hundreds of thousands of followers filmed a video in which two women shoot fireworks from a helicopter at a sports car. He is therefore facing court.
A popular YouTuber from Los Angeles is facing charges from federal authorities. He is alleged to have filmed a video in which fireworks were fired from a helicopter at an accelerating Lamborghini. The 24-year-old Alex Choi was arrested on Wednesday. He will face court for mounting explosive materials on an aircraft, according to a statement from the California Attorney General’s Office. He faces up to ten years in prison.
Choi, who has 923,000 followers on YouTube and 1.2 million on Instagram, posted the video titled “Destroying a Lamborghini with Fireworks” in July 2023. In the eleven-minute clip, two women are seen shooting fireworks at the sports car. According to the charges, Choi initially recreated a video game scenario. The video then shows how the 24-year-old was involved in the production of the video.
Additionally, the charge states that Choi did not obtain the necessary filming permits. Furthermore, he allegedly traveled to Las Vegas to purchase the fireworks, as they are illegal in California.
