Gordon Ramsay, the fiery English chef known for his incredible culinary skills, recently shared some heartwarming news about becoming a father for the sixth time. Though he’s famous for his cooking, Ramsay’s latest adventure as a dad is just as exciting.
Last weekend, Ramsay, 57, attended the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas and couldn’t wait to talk about the newest member of his family—a baby boy named Jesse James.
Ramsay joked about becoming a dad again at his age, saying, “It’s extraordinary—just blessed. I’m sure I’ll be the oldest dad at the school drop-off, so I’ll be there with my spectacles and a cap!”
Earlier this month, Ramsay and his wife, Tana, welcomed little Jesse James, who weighed a healthy seven pounds and ten ounces. Proud of his growing family, Ramsay posted photos of his new son on social media with the caption, “3 boys, 3 girls… done.”
Tana also shared her joy online, writing, “It’s been a nerve-wracking nine months, but we’ve made it, and we’ve been blessed with this little bundle. We adore you so much, Jesse James Ramsay.”
But the journey to complete their family hasn’t been easy. In 2016, the couple tragically lost their sixth child when Tana miscarried at five months. At the time, Gordon shared his grief with the public, saying, “We had a devastating weekend as Tana sadly miscarried our son at five months.” He expressed gratitude for the support they received during that difficult time.
Four years later, in a 2020 interview, Tana opened up about her experience, especially after Chrissy Teigen publicly shared her own miscarriage story. Tana praised Chrissy’s openness, saying, “I found it very emotional, and I thought she was amazing. A lot of what she went through felt similar to my experience.”
Tana reflected on how hard it was when people didn’t acknowledge what had happened. “It was really difficult when people would talk to me and not bring it up, as if it never happened,” she said. “All I wanted to do was talk about it with friends, family, and anyone who asked. It’s a hard experience—you go from having a baby kicking inside you to suddenly, it’s not there.”
She also shared how supportive Gordon was throughout the ordeal. “Gordon was amazing. He’s always been good at talking things out and never made me feel like we shouldn’t talk about it,” she said.
Gordon later spoke about the loss of their son, whom they had named Rocky, in September 2023. He called the experience “very difficult” and “life-changing.” He explained how they went from celebrating the baby’s health one day to facing the heartbreaking news the next.
“It all happened in one day,” Ramsay said, adding that the tragedy brought their family even closer together.
Despite the heartbreak, the Ramsays welcomed their fifth child, Oscar, in 2019, and now, with the arrival of Jesse James in 2023, they’ve declared their family complete!
