Jacqueline Kennedy is one of the most admired First Ladies in history. She’s often seen as more than just a fashion icon, ranking high on lists of the most influential First Ladies. Even her husband, President John F. Kennedy, admitted that her presence on his campaign trail helped him win.
Despite facing many personal and professional challenges, Jacqueline always remained a loving and supportive role model for her children.
Now, her legacy continues through her oldest granddaughter, Rose Kennedy Schlossberg, who shares her grandmother’s love for the arts.
To truly appreciate their close resemblance, you have to see the photos for yourself.
Jacqueline Lee Bouvier was born on July 28, 1929, in Southampton, New York. She was well-liked and respected even before she married John F. Kennedy, who would become the 35th president of the United States.
As First Lady, she became a successful book editor, supported the arts, and worked to preserve historical buildings.
Jacqueline married John F. Kennedy on September 12, 1953. Their daughter Caroline was born in 1957. Tragically, only Caroline and her brother John Jr. survived infancy out of the couple’s four children.
After her husband was assassinated in 1963, Jacqueline remarried but had no more children.
Her granddaughter Rose, Caroline’s daughter, looks remarkably like Jacqueline!
Rose Kennedy Schlossberg, now 34, has been involved in several campaigns but hasn’t pursued a political career like many of her famous relatives. Instead, she shares many interests with her grandmother.
Both Rose and Jacqueline share a love for writing. Jacqueline started as a junior editor at Vogue and contributed to the student newspaper. Rose also became a skilled writer, earning a BA in English from Harvard in 2010.
She later created a comedy series called End Times Girls Club, a “guide to female-focused apocalyptic survival.” Rose said the idea came from seeing how unprepared New Yorkers were during Hurricane Sandy, especially young girls.
Rose was named after her maternal great-grandmother, and she has often been compared to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Although Rose was only six when Jacqueline passed away in 1994, they were close, and Rose called her “Grand Jackie.”
Jacqueline’s granddaughter, who looks just like her, keeps her memory alive.
Rose was also close to her uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr. When he died in a plane crash on July 16, 1999, Rose was devastated. According to Kennedy historian C. David Heymann, “To her, he had been like a parent.
She experienced a six-month depressive episode during which she seldom communicated with anyone. She must have lost 30 pounds since she stopped eating.”
According to reports, Rose married restaurateur Rory McAuliffe in May 2022. They met while working as caterers at the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, and have been together ever since.
A source said, “Rory and Rose have been secretly dating for the past eight years. Caroline, Rose’s mother, adores Rory. She already feels like a member of the family and has for some time.”
Sources say Jackie Kennedy would have approved of the marriage. After seeing these photos, it’s clear that the late First Lady would be proud of all her grandchildren. What an amazing legacy!
