The 51-year-old actress spotted a homeless man in a wheelchair while in a parking lot near Santa Monica Beach, California. It’s easy to imagine that most A-list celebrities would simply hop in their cars and drive away, but Jennifer Garner is not like that.

Earlier this week, while at the parking lot on Santa Monica Beach, Jennifer noticed a homeless man who clearly needed help. Without hesitation, she rolled down her car window and struck up a conversation with him. She handed him a bag filled with essential items, but then she noticed something troubling—he wasn’t wearing any shoes.
Seeing this, Jennifer stepped out of her car, knelt down, and began putting socks on his feet. It was a truly heartwarming moment.
But she didn’t stop there! The star of 13 Going on 30 even took off her own shoes and tried to give them to him. Even though they were obviously too small, she didn’t give up. Instead, she turned to a nearby paparazzi who had been following her and asked for help.
“What size feet do you have?” she asked him. “Can I get him your shoes? He really needs them!”
When the photographer asked what size the man wore, Jennifer replied, “He’s a ten and a half.”
“Oh, I’m eleven! Do you want me to give them to him? I can take them to him!” the photographer replied. True to his word, he quickly removed his shoes and handed them over, refusing to accept any money from Jennifer.
Anyone who knows about Jennifer’s life and career knows she has always been generous. She has a long history of supporting those in need, including her work with Save the Children for over ten years.
“I didn’t grow up poor, but I was surrounded by it,” she once told Southern Living. “I always said I was a generation and a holler removed from rural poverty.”
She added, “I looked around and found Save the Children, because they really set the standard for helping kids in rural America.”
