It’s diaper duty once again for Jennifer Lawrence: The award-winning actress and her husband are celebrating the birth of their second child.

A Hollywood-style baby joy! Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, 34, and her husband, art gallery director Cooke Maroney, 40, have become parents for the second time. While the couple has yet to officially confirm the joyful news, the actress has now been spotted for the first time with a stroller on the streets of New York.

Jennifer Lawrence has become a mother for the second time

Dressed casually in a loose shirt and light yellow pants, Jennifer Lawrence was seen pushing a stroller through Manhattan on Monday, April 28, 2025. The new mother of two wore her hair tied back in a ponytail, paired with a pink cap and sunglasses—perhaps hiding a pair of slightly tired eyes.

She was later spotted at a playground with her baby and her son Cy. The name and exact birthdate of Jennifer’s second child remain unknown.

One thing is certain: her two-year-old son is now officially a big—and likely very proud—brother. After confirming her pregnancy in October 2024 in an interview with the American Vogue, her second child has now arrived. The No Hard Feelings actress and her husband are surely over the moon.

Pregnancy rumors and confirmation

Shortly before the joyful announcement last fall, the first baby bump rumors had already surfaced. In photos from a dinner in Los Angeles on October 19, 2024, Jennifer Lawrence’s pregnancy was clearly visible. By the time the news was officially announced, she was already well along.

Lawrence and her great love Cooke Maroney became parents for the first time in spring 2022, when their son Cy was born. The couple tied the knot in October 2019 at the Belcourt mansion in Newport, Rhode Island.

The actress found being a bride “horrible”

However, Jennifer Lawrence doesn’t look back on her big day with fondness. In an interview with E! News in January 2024, she admitted that she found being a bride “horrible”: “It’s so stressful. You’re not having fun, and you’re just thinking: ‘Is everyone else having fun?’” The actress was genuinely concerned about the well-being of her many guests.

“I’ll never forget how I freaked out thinking the guests might be cold. And all my friends lied to me, saying: ‘No one’s cold, everything’s fine,’” she recalls. Only her mother, Karen Lawrence, 69, dared to tell her the truth. “My mom said: ‘It’s freezing out here. Your grandmother almost died.’” Seems Jennifer Lawrence’s concern was well justified.
