Public opinions on celebrities’ dress choices are nothing new. Being in the spotlight means every decision, including what to wear, is scrutinized by both fans and critics.
Kristen Stewart, the Twilight actress, is used to the attention. So, when she recently stepped out in New York City wearing a daring outfit that sparked a lot of online comments, she probably knew exactly what she was doing.
The 33-year-old Stewart wore a cream-colored blouse that left little to the imagination. She paired it with a black purse and dark red stilettos, revealing her bra and knit underwear.
Unsurprisingly, her bold outfit got a lot of attention online.
Many of Stewart’s fans loved her daring look. One fan said, “She looks stunning. Love her fresh style and audacity.” Another added, “She can do no wrong. Outstanding in every aspect.” A third fan commented, “Looking so gorgeous,” and someone else exclaimed, “I can’t get over this look!”
However, not everyone was impressed. Some critics pointed out that Stewart was showing more skin than usual. One commenter said, “Someone forgot their trousers. This does not look good at all.” Another added, “I don’t understand the recent makeover; the styling doesn’t seem to suit her at all.” A third critic said, “We need to stop dressing inappropriately.
Celebrities should not be seen in public like this; they can parade around in their homes.” A fourth person claimed, “She’s become desperate to get attention.”
Stewart is currently promoting her latest film, Love Lies Bleeding, in which she plays a reclusive gym manager who becomes enamored with a bodybuilder with big dreams.
Talking about the film, the Oscar-nominated actress told The Hollywood Reporter, “I’m really happy with it because people are not super comfortable with a female body thrusting any type of sexuality at you that’s not designed for exclusively straight males.”
