Imagine a woman named Melissa Sloan. She’s 46 years old and lives in Wales with her two young children. What sets Melissa apart isn’t just her age or where she lives, but her appearance.

But having so many tattoos hasn’t been easy for Melissa. It’s hard for her to find a job because people judge her by her appearance.
She once worked cleaning toilets, but even jobs like that are hard to get now because of her tattoos. Some people think she’s never worked before, which isn’t true. She had a job once, but it didn’t last long.
When Melissa walks down the street, people stare at her and sometimes say mean things. They treat her like she’s not normal, like she doesn’t belong. Some places even ban her from coming in. It’s hurtful and makes her feel like an outsider.
Even though Melissa faces all these challenges, she doesn’t let it stop her from being herself. She’s a loving mom to her two kids, who are 8 and 10 years old. Her children love her just the way she is, tattoos and all.
They see how people look at their mom, but they don’t let it bother them.
Melissa encourages her kids to be themselves too. They already have a liking for tattoos, just like their mom. Sometimes she lets them have temporary tattoos on their arms, which they have to wash off before school. Melissa tells them when they’re older, they can get real tattoos if they want.
Before Melissa got all her tattoos, she looked different. She shared old pictures of herself on Instagram, where you can see her before all the tattoos. She looks almost like a different person compared to how she looks now.
There’s nothing wrong with tattoos, but sometimes people can be judgmental. Employers might not hire Melissa because of her tattoos, even if she’s good at the job. It’s unfair, but it happens.
Melissa hopes her kids learn from her experiences, so they don’t feel left out or judged because of how they look.

As a woman with several tattoos i agree they are addictive but i also agree that therapy may be needed. I only say this because i know the reasons i have gotten mine and it’s usually when I’m in a dark place and that’s the only thing that gives me that “release” of negative energy and makes it go away. I don’t understand the judgement though that she is receiving 😳😒. I find it so hard to understand people’s shallow thoughts.. who knows.. you guys may have done much worse if you felt as she does. She is beautiful and deserves the same chances as anyone.. and i say this as a store manager btw. #IYKYK

Obviously you enjoy your tattoos I guess Freedom of Expression! People don’t need tho to be mean and Nasty ugh… I just don’t Understand the Face part..? To me body is one thing one can cover up with clothes if need be.
Such in this case getting a job! I think most employer’s wouldn’t say anything about that as alot of People today have them…
I can understand certain jobs not wanting to Hire you for the Face Tats as You’ve already Experienced People are Judgemental and Say you worked the Front counter or As a Receptionest Seniors and little kids may be scared as they are not used to seeing someone like you.. and on an employer’s perspective they may feel that you could drive Customers or patients away from their Buisness’s? I think you should have stopped at the chest area.. However,What about Working for a Tattoo shop receptionist or Piercing shop? Orrr A warehouse Like Amazon or A returns pallets warehouse where people buy lost or Returned items? A night Job security Guard? Cleaning a Shopping mall at Night? Just suggestions… Gotta go where there’s others like you and it’s Socially accepted.. I wish you all the luck in the World hope you find a job!! Ohhh and there’s make-up that can cover up those on your Face… to the extent you’d never know you had tattoos on your face go to (Be perfect) cosmetics out of the U.K.or Even Temu… You could cover up by Day Wash off when you get home.
