Recently, I got a call from my daughter, and our conversation quickly became hilarious. “You know that Gladiator movie I got you?” she started. Curious, I replied, “Yes.”
Then she dropped a surprising request, “Fast forward to one hour, sixteen minutes, and twenty-eight seconds.” Intrigued, I quickly did as she asked and said, “Okay, I’ve done that.”
With excitement in her voice, she continued, “Do you see the gladiator at the front fighting the lion?” Laughing, I answered, “Yes, I see him.”
But she wasn’t done yet. “Look behind him, there are two gladiators having a sword fight,” she added. I said, “Alright, I see them,” still wondering what she was getting at.
Then came the punchline. “Well, behind those two, there’s a woman gladiator holding a spear on the left-hand side of the screen,” she pointed out. Amused by her keen observation, I laughed and said, “Yes, I see her.”
She then revealed her surprising birthday wish. “Right,” she exclaimed, “I want those sandals for my birthday.”
