My Husband Brought His Mistress Home to Kick Me Out, Little Did He Know, He Would Be Homeless an Hour Later

After years of trying to keep my marriage with Logan together, catching him with another woman was like hitting rock bottom. But I never expected the way he’d flaunt his betrayal—or how an unexpected ally would step in and turn everything around.

Logan and I had been married for five years. Those first years were full of excitement and hope. But it didn’t take long for the fairy-tale phase to end. Struggling with infertility had taken a heavy toll on us. Instead of growing closer, Logan pushed me away. He spent hours at the gym, with fast cars, and constantly “finding himself,” leaving me alone with my feelings of failure.

I tried to hold things together, telling myself he was just stressed, but the cracks in our relationship kept getting wider.

Then one night, my best friend, Lola, could see how lost I was. She dragged me out of the house, insisting, “You need this, Natasha. Come on, let’s go out and forget about everything for a while.”

Lola took me to a cozy jazz club downtown, where the smooth music filled the air. For a moment, I felt like myself again. That was, until Lola’s face froze mid-laugh. Her eyes went wide as she looked over my shoulder.

“Natasha… is that Logan?” she whispered in shock.

My heart stopped. I slowly turned around and saw him. Logan—my husband—sitting at a table, with another woman draped over his shoulder, giggling as he whispered in her ear. My stomach dropped.

For a second, I couldn’t breathe. My feet moved on their own, carrying me straight to their table.

“Logan, are you serious right now?!” I barked, my voice shaking with anger and disbelief.

His head jerked up, his face briefly startled before he gave me a smug grin. “Natasha, finally,” he said, as if I were the one who had been causing trouble.

The woman beside him—Brenda, I would later learn—looked me up and down, giving me a smirk that made my blood boil, as if she’d just won some sort of prize.

“Look,” Logan said, casually waving his hand, “it’s better you know now. I’m in love with someone else. We’re done.”

His words hit me like a punch to the gut. I wanted to scream, cry, throw the table over, but instead, I just stood there, frozen, numb.

Lola grabbed my arm and pulled me away from the table, muttering curses under her breath about how Logan would regret this. I spent the night at her apartment, breaking down in her spare room.

The next morning, I returned home, hoping Logan had come to his senses. But as I pulled into the driveway, what I saw made my heart drop even further.

My belongings were scattered across the front lawn like trash. Clothes, photo albums, and even sentimental items—tossed carelessly outside as if I meant nothing.

And standing on the porch, wearing smug smiles, were Logan and Brenda.

“This house belongs to my grandfather,” Logan said coldly, his voice flat. “You have no claim to it. You’re out. Get your things and leave.”

I bit back the tears, refusing to give him the satisfaction of seeing me break. I silently started loading my things into my car, while Brenda stood there, taunting me.

“I can’t wait to redecorate this ugly house,” she said, her voice dripping with smugness.

I didn’t know where I was going, but just then, I heard the rumble of an engine pulling up behind me. I turned to see a sleek black BMW rolling up, and out stepped Logan’s grandfather, Mr. Duncan.

Mr. Duncan wasn’t just the head of the family—he was a self-made man, known for his sharp mind and even sharper tongue. He had always treated me with kindness, even though Logan had turned into someone I barely recognized.

When Mr. Duncan saw the scene—my belongings strewn across the lawn, Brenda standing smugly on the porch, and Logan nowhere to be seen—his face turned dark with fury.

“What the hell is going on here?!” he roared, his voice so loud it seemed to shake the air.

Logan came out from inside, trying to act cool, but his confidence was slipping. “Grandpa, this isn’t a good time. Natasha and I—”

“I don’t care what time it is!” Mr. Duncan interrupted. “Why is Natasha’s stuff on the lawn, and who is this woman?”

“Grandpa, Natasha and I are done,” Logan stammered, looking a little panicked. “She doesn’t belong here anymore.”

Mr. Duncan’s glare could’ve cut through steel. “Let me remind you, Logan, this house belongs to me. I let you live here because you were building a family with Natasha. If that’s no longer the case, then you’re the one who needs to leave.”

Logan’s mouth fell open. “You’re kicking me out?”

“Not only that,” Mr. Duncan said, his voice cold and deliberate, “but as of now, you’re cut off. No money, no support, nothing. You’ve disgraced this family enough.”

Logan’s protests fell on deaf ears. He and Brenda were gone within the hour, leaving me in a daze. Mr. Duncan turned to me with a softer expression.

“Natasha, I came here today to offer help with IVF,” he said gently. “But it seems I arrived just in time to see this mess. You don’t deserve any of this. Consider this house yours. I’ll handle the paperwork.”

I couldn’t stop the tears as I nodded in gratitude.

Over the next few days, Mr. Duncan kept his word. My name went on the deed, and Logan was left to fend for himself. Predictably, Brenda didn’t stick around once the money ran out.

A week later, Logan showed up at the house, disheveled and desperate. “I made a mistake,” he pleaded, his voice strained. “Natasha, please call Grandpa. He’ll listen to you.”

“No,” I said firmly, my voice steady and filled with newfound strength. “You made your bed. Now lie in it.”

I slammed the door in his face, ignoring his shouts. For the first time in years, I felt free. Logan’s betrayal had broken me, but it also gave me the chance to rebuild my life—and this time, I would do it on my terms.
