To honor his mother’s legacy, Prince Harry will travel to Las Vegas on May 6 for an event organized by the “Diana Award.” However, for his son Prince Archie, this means: another birthday without his dad.
Prince Harry, 40, once again lives up to his reputation as a dedicated supporter of young talent. However, on this special day for Prince Archie, 5, he won’t be able to fulfill his duties as a father. According to People magazine, the Duke of Sussex will take part in a panel discussion hosted by the “Diana Award” in Las Vegas.
Prince Harry to Join Panel Discussion for the Diana Award
The event, held by the charity named after Harry’s late mother Princess Diana, †36, is part of the “Knowledge 2025” conference organized by AI platform ServiceNow and marks the launch of the “Pledge to Invest” initiative. This initiative aims to support future leaders and inspire forward-thinking companies to back their missions.
The discussion will be moderated by Tessy Ojo, CEO of the Diana Award organization. She will bring Prince Harry together with Paul Fipps, President of Global Customer Operations at ServiceNow, as well as two young award recipients: Sikander Khan and Christina Williams.

“Companies that invest in young leaders today are shaping the workforce, innovators, and consumers of tomorrow,” Ojo said in a statement. She added, “The Diana Award is proud to launch ‘Pledge to Invest’—an opportunity for future-oriented companies to make strategic, measurable, and impactful investments in the future of young leaders. For over 25 years, the Diana Award has empowered young people to tackle the pressing issues of our time.”
Son Archie Celebrates His Sixth Birthday – Without Dad
Although supporting the charity is clearly close to his heart, it likely won’t be easy for Prince Harry to board the flight to Las Vegas on this particular day. His son Archie will be celebrating his sixth birthday on May 6, 2025.
And it’s not the first milestone he’s missed: Back in May 2023, the prince also skipped Archie’s fourth birthday to travel to London for the coronation of his father, King Charles, 76. Although the Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan, 43, mostly work from home—as Meghan revealed in a 2022 The Cut interview—some special commitments like the Diana Award make business travel unavoidable.

The international award named after Princess Diana was established in 1999 by former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, 74. Notably, the Diana Award is one of the few charitable organizations supported by both Prince Harry and his brother Prince William, 42. Despite the well-known tensions between the brothers, the organization remains a rare point of shared commitment in their philanthropic efforts.
