Prince William: He Could Strip Meghan of Her Royal Titles

Prince William may strip Duchess Meghan of her royal titles. Most recently, this possibility has sparked new allegations against Prince Harry’s wife.

According to a report, Prince William, 42, is allegedly planning to revoke the “HRH” titles of Duchess Meghan, 43, and Prince Harry, 40, once he becomes king. “HRH,” short for “His/Her Royal Highness,” is used as part of the title of certain members of the royal family.

Controversy arose after Meghan signed a card related to her new “As Ever” products with “Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Sussex.” The card was seen in a gift basket during a podcast appearance with Jamie Kern Lima, 47.

Prince William Furious: “The Titles Will Be Removed When He Becomes King”

This happened despite the Buckingham Palace’s 2020 statement following Meghan and Harry’s departure from royal duties, which declared: “The Sussexes will no longer use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family.”

The latest incident involving Meghan’s “As Ever” products has reportedly angered William. While King Charles, 76, “might tolerate it, William will not,” a royal insider told the Daily Beast. The idea that Meghan uses her royal status as a calling card reportedly infuriates him. “The titles will be removed when he is king. A way will be found,” the source added.

Debate Over Use of Titles

The source also claimed that Duchess Meghan is violating an agreement with the late Queen Elizabeth, †96, by using the HRH title to promote her lifestyle brand “As Ever.” Since early April, Meghan has been selling items such as jam, honey, and tea under this brand.

According to the Daily Beast, sources close to the Sussexes deny any wrongdoing, stating that the gift basket was a “personal gift.” One source explained: “Harry and Meghan retain their HRH titles; however, they have agreed not to use them for commercial purposes.” The insider added: “While they don’t use ‘HRH’ publicly, this was a personal gift, and their titles remain intact.”
