Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have been all over the news for months, with people buzzing about whether they’ve split up or not. Even though there’s been a lot of talk, the couple hasn’t officially said anything yet.
Now, someone close to them wants to clear things up.
Rumors are flying about Lopez and Affleck breaking up and their marriage being over. But the couple hasn’t confirmed anything. A source told the media that they’re “waiting to announce their official split because they want to make sure everything is seamless when they do, especially with everyone involved.
Neither of them wants this process to be rushed. They are treating the separation with as much grace, understanding, and gentleness as they can.”
To everyone watching, it seems pretty clear they’re apart. They haven’t been seen together in months. Lopez went on a European vacation without Affleck, and he was missing from her 55th birthday party.
Lopez and Affleck have five kids between them. Affleck has three children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, and Lopez has twins with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
The source mentioned the kids, saying, “They want to make sure the kids are comfortable with the transition and where they are living, etcetera. They don’t want to make it feel like they’re pulling the rug from underneath their children. They’re making a mutual effort to ensure that this transition is as healthy and easy as possible.”
Another source said Affleck is feeling “hopeful” since moving into his own place. The new home is closer to Jennifer Garner, making it easier to co-parent.
“Ben really likes his new home and feels hopeful about the change,” the source shared. “It’s been a hard time for him, but he’s continuing to make his well-being and his family a priority.”
A different source added, “Ben wanted to be closer to his kids with his new home and wanted a new, fresh, personal space where he can focus on work and be in his most creative zone without any outside distractions.”
As for Lopez, a source close to her noted that she is “ready to move forward and is ready to close this chapter cordially.”
“The timing of the transition made her birthday a bit more difficult, but with the support of her friends and family, she’s doing her best day by day,” the source added.
This isn’t the first time Lopez and Affleck have been together. They first dated from 2002 to 2004 and called off their engagement in January 2004. They got back together in 2021 and married in Las Vegas in July 2022.
