When Penny Lancaster, wife of Rod Stewart, was spotted on a yacht off the coast of Sardinia, Italy, in a tiny bikini, it sparked a mix of reactions.
Some fans thought the 53-year-old model’s swimsuit made her look “sagging” and “drooping,” while others defended her, saying there’s “no need for name-calling.”

Rod Stewart, amidst his busy tour schedule, took his large family to Sardinia, Italy, for some much-needed family time with his wife, Penny Lancaster.
Lancaster, who married the star in 2007, shared on Instagram, “Another amazing family holiday together (a few were sadly missed) in the [Mediterranean] bonding, healing, love and laughter.” She posted a photo of the 79-year-old “Maggie May” singer with her daughters, Kimberly, 44, and Ruby, 37, and sons, Aiden, 13, and Alastair, 18.
Also joining them were his two sons-in-law, Adam Sumner and Jake Alick, and his grandson, Otis, who is just over a year old.
In a July 2024 interview with Hello! magazine, Lancaster said, “We like to take every opportunity to bring the family, children, and grandchildren together. The whole clan gets together at least twice or three times a year, but it takes a lot of planning because part of the family lives in America and part in England.”
“Wrong bikini top”
Before heading back for his residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Stewart and his wife were seen soaking up the sun on a $65 million superyacht in Porto Cervo, an Italian seaside town in northern Sardinia.
Stewart, the “Tonight’s the Night” singer, wore a lemon-colored button-down shirt and shielded his face with a towel from the blazing sun.

Lancaster, who first met Stewart in 1999 while he was still married to model Rachel Hunter, confidently showcased her 53-year-old figure.
The devoted wife was seen lounging on the deck of the luxury yacht or playing in the crystal-clear waters, wearing a tiny black bikini with her hair in a ponytail.
Some followers commented on Lancaster’s appearance on social media, suggesting the mother of two should reconsider her clothing choices.

One critic tweeted, “After noticing the drooping, sagging, and wrinkled mammary sack barely being restrained… It would be more along the lines of Ewwwwww.”
Another said, “Wrong bikini top.” A third remarked, “For a woman who was famous for wearing clothes for a living, she is sorely letting the side down. She should know that ‘just because you can, doesn’t mean you should’ and needs a stylist before stepping out in public.”
However, some people defended her. “The swimsuit is not flattering,” one person acknowledged. “But stop the criticism; she is in her 50s. She is not amazing, but there’s no need to call her names.”

Another person added, “Leave her alone, they are on vacation on their yacht not a public beach.”
Style Icon
Rod Stewart, born in London, teased his return to Caesars Palace on July 12 by posting a picture of himself seated on the yacht, dressed in a black and white striped short suit.

He wrote, “I’m all decked up for the holidays and excited to visit Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from July 24 to August 7.”
The outfit is a modern take on one he wore in 1973, part of his many “anything but subtle” ensembles that made him a “fashion icon” according to Vogue.
Vogue said I was a style Icon… Do you agree? 😂
