Thanks to a group of clever kids called the “Tremendous Twelve,” any child can be a hero! These youngsters helped the police catch some robbers during an exciting adventure.
The “Tremendous Twelve” became famous online after they made a human arrow to guide a police helicopter to two burglars who were trying to escape. Just like the heroes in Enid Blyton’s stories, they had a trusty dog with them—a Yorkshire terrier named Molly.
The kids shared their amazing experience with The Mail on Sunday and said, “We feel really proud – it was awesome.”
They were on an Easter egg hunt in a field in Capel, Surrey, when they noticed a helicopter circling above. The group ranged in age from six to twelve.
A nine-year-old girl remembered, “It was really noisy, and we could see it said ‘police’ on the bottom.” Then they saw a man running across the field. “He took off his sweater and wrapped it around his head,” she said.
The kids tried to yell at the helicopter pilot, but it was no use. The chopper was pointing in the wrong direction. “They were trying to scream at the pilot,” the girl explained.
“Then two of my friends said, ‘Let’s get into an arrow,'” she continued. They all laid down on the ground, forming the shape of an arrow pointing toward where the man was running.
After a minute or so in the dirt, the kids saw the helicopter turn and head in their direction. Their quick thinking and teamwork had paid off, helping the police catch the robbers.
The story of these brave kids shows that there’s always a chance to be a hero. Enjoying life and helping others is what truly matters!
