According to the American site “People,” which claims to have information from close associates of the former Hollywood dream couple, the now 18-year-old has made a symbolic move by changing her last name. According to the report, she has dropped the surname Pitt and adopted her mother’s surname.

A source told “People”: “Shiloh independently hired a lawyer and paid for it herself.” Allegedly, the actor’s supposed violent past is a reason why she wants to go through life as Shiloh Jolie from now on and drop the double surname Jolie-Pitt. Furthermore, according to “People” magazine, which reportedly has the corresponding court document, the application was filed on May 27 – the same day Shiloh celebrated her 18th birthday and became an adult.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have five other children: Maddox (22), Pax (20), Zahara (19), and twins Knox and Vivienne (15). Two of them are allegedly considering a similar step as Shiloh: in the theater program for the new musical “The Outsiders,” which they helped their mother Jolie (48) produce, only the name “Vivienne Jolie” was listed as a production assistant, according to “People.”
Her sister Zahara also presented herself without the “Pitt” addition: as a video showed, she called herself simply “Zahara Marley Jolie” when she was inducted into the AKA sorority at Spelman College last November.
