A source told “People”: “Shiloh independently hired a lawyer and paid for it herself.” Allegedly, the actor’s supposed violent past is a reason why she wants to go through life as Shiloh Jolie from now on and drop the double surname Jolie-Pitt. Furthermore, according to “People” magazine, which reportedly has the corresponding court document, the application was filed on May 27 – the same day Shiloh celebrated her 18th birthday and became an adult.

Her sister Zahara also presented herself without the “Pitt” addition: as a video showed, she called herself simply “Zahara Marley Jolie” when she was inducted into the AKA sorority at Spelman College last November. For years, the relationship between Brad Pitt and his children has been considered strained.
