A sign in the front window of a Dairy Queen in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, has sparked a lot of buzz online. The sign proudly displays traditional holiday greetings like “Merry Christmas” and “Happy Easter,” and also thanks veterans on Veterans Day.
The restaurant’s owner, Kevin Scheunemann, stands by the sign. He says it’s been up for almost four years and reflects his and his staff’s dedication to God and country.
“We put up the sign after a customer complained about the Christian music we play here,” Scheunemann explains. “Since then, it hasn’t caused any issues.”
However, the sign recently drew fresh attention when a tourist from Oregon posted a photo of it on Facebook. This sparked a heated debate about whether the sign is inclusive.
Some people support the message, while others criticize the tourist for sharing the image.
Local business owners back Scheunemann, saying customers can choose to go elsewhere if they disagree with the sign.
Dairy Queen’s corporate office has clarified that Scheunemann’s stance doesn’t reflect the company’s official policy.
They emphasize the importance of treating all customers with respect, regardless of their religious beliefs.

there is nothing wrong with your sign. It is a Christian country.
